Don’t miss Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s January online events. Start off the New Year by making healthy changes to your diet and lifestyle. Become more comfortable preparing healthy meals for your family using FoodShare box ingredients. Expectant mothers can prepare for their childbirth experience in one of our prenatal classes. 

All online events are hosted in Microsoft Teams. You must register to receive an email link to join prior to the scheduled event date. 


Prepared Breastfeeding 

Monday, Jan. 3, 6 – 8 p.m. 
Tuesday, Jan. 18, 6 – 8 p.m. 

Online Class 

This two-hour class will help you get a healthy start to breastfeeding your newborn. Learn about milk production, feeding cues, latching techniques, milk storage and problem-solving tips for successful breastfeeding. This class is taught by a certified lactation consultant. Prepared Childbirth

Thursday, Jan. 27, 6 – 8:30 p.m. 

Online Class 

Learn everything you need to know about the childbirth process and the options available to you during pregnancy, labor and delivery. The information you learn in this comprehensive, fact-based class will help reduce your anxiety and help you have a more positive birth experience. Table for Two — Online Breastfeeding Support Group 

Wednesday, Jan. 12, 11:30 – 12:30 p.m. 

Online Support Group 

Table for Two is a weekly, casual gathering for breastfeeding mothers to talk with other moms, discuss concerns and learn tips on breastfeeding. Attendance is encouraged after your baby is two weeks old. Call 864-560-BABY for more information. Click on the link above to register. 


Cooking up Confidence: Four-part series 

Thursday, Jan. 13 and 27, Feb. 10 and 24, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. 
Online Class 

These classes are for people who want to expand their comfort with cooking. Class components include food safety and storage, cooking methods and skills, and nutrition using the contents included in FoodShare boxes.
