It's a girl! SRHS welcomes first baby of 2017

It's a Girl! First New Year's Baby at Spartanburg Medical Center Born at 2:36 a.m.

Spartanburg Medical Center is proud to announce the first baby delivered in 2017. Danielle Parks welcomed her first daughter Kamaria Elaine at 2:36 a.m., weighing in at 6lbs. 5oz.

Danielle is delighted. She was admitted Friday and began active labor early Saturday morning, three weeks early.

“I am so happy right now,” said Parks. “This is the first grandbaby and great-grandbaby for our family!”

Two more babies were born at Spartanburg Medical Center following Kamaria. One arrived at 5:25 a.m. and another baby followed at 6:02 a.m.
