Robert Gillian had his gastric bypass surgery at Spartanburg Regional. The weight loss program is more than just surgery but involves a comprehensive approach including classes, counseling, team support and physicians and medical professionals working to improve the overall quality of life for patients and their families. The weight loss program is an accredited team, and in 2018 the group achieved National Accreditation from the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Program. This achievement highlights that Spartanburg Medical Center has the highest standards of safety and quality of care for its patients.
