Don’t miss Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s January events. This month, expectant mothers can prepare for their childbirth experience in one of our prenatal classes. Those with diabetes can get support from others living with the disease. Anyone can receive guidance on advance care planning from certified facilitators.
All events are online and hosted in Microsoft Teams. You must register to receive an email link to join prior to the scheduled event date.
Table for Two — Online Breastfeeding Support Group
Wednesdays in January, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Online Support Group
Table for Two is a weekly, casual gathering for breastfeeding mothers and their babies to talk with other moms, discuss concerns and learn tips on breastfeeding. Attendance is encouraged after your baby is 2 weeks old. Call 864-560-BABY for more information. Click on the link above to register.
Prepared Breastfeeding
Tuesday, Jan. 19, 6 – 8 p.m.
Online Class
This two-hour class will help you get a healthy start to breastfeeding your newborn. You will learn about milk production, feeding cues, latching techniques, milk storage and problem-solving tips for successful breastfeeding. This class is taught by a certified lactation consultant. A Beginner’s Guide to Whole Food, Plant-Based Nutrition

The evidence continues to show that a whole-food, plant-based diet can help prevent and treat chronic illnesses, such as Type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity and even heart disease. Designed to prepare expectant parents for their baby’s impending arrival, this class teaches routine care for a newborn. Diabetes Wellness Circle
Tuesday, Jan. 19, 12 – 1 p.m.
Online Support Group
A monthly online support group intended to support, encourage and educate anyone living with diabetes. Each session will contain 30 minutes of education followed by 30 minutes of discussion.
